70% of all chronic disease and illness is directly related to your lifestyle

LifestyleLeading wellness experts tell us that 70% of all chronic disease and illness is lifestyle related*. That translates to preventable! Twenty percent is genetics and 10% is lack of access to care. How do we prevent chronic disease and illness? Please read on.

Understanding how we got to where we are is a crucial part of changing our lives. There is a saying; the windshield of a car is bigger than the rear view mirror because what is in front of you is more important than what is behind you. It is also stated that if you do not understand history, you are destined to repeat it. Maybe a blend of both is what we need.

Psychologists tell us that it takes approximately 21 days to create a habit. Three weeks, that’s not bad. Where the problem seems to lie is that the old habits never die. Like a line in a country song, “That flame might not be stronger but it’s been burning longer.” Old habits linger just waiting for you to have a stressful day. We need to be fully conscious of our decisions each and every day. It does not come down to will power. I feel it comes down to clearing the clutter so we can be conscious of our decisions. I understand the daily struggles you may have and can provide you with tools that can help when the “old, unhealthy habit” urges you to come back.
